Time out. Grounding, recuperating, painting. Inspired by my Garden Studio 2012, painting has become a way of life. “Little things”. Textures and metallics capturing light, continuing to dominate my work. Stripping back, layering and covering up dispersed. The overall impact lighter, more playful. New chapter, back to basics. So little needed to make me smile.
Making a mark on the world, however small, never insignificant.
Childhood memories, childhood dreams, a shame to forget, a joy to remember. Do you like butter?

An afternoon picnic of boiled eggs and fresh bread with a friend and children. Calmed my soul and filled my heart. A red admiral, it’s wings torn, took a moment to rest.
The daises in my indoor garden. So simple, each so similar, so straight forward. Whatever we experience together, no two experiences are ever the same.

Walking beneath a stormy sky, made me feel alive that day. A dandelion, blown apart by the wind, only to take root elsewhere, forever a survivor.

Loved. Lost.
