A little belated from 1.08.13. Streatham Hill seems a long time ago. To begin my travels I did some retreading. I sat in our favorite hangover breakfast cafe, where we always recovered after a London night out with the Knee-Fitzroy’s. Contemplating how ‘we’ has now become ‘I’ and how ‘I’ doesn’t just happen overnight, it take’s time to re find and rebuild………
……..and then here I am, with a third of my original packing. My accommodation is simple, traditional and peaceful, very fitting.
Within an hour of arriving I have found the Night Bazaar.
The color’s, sounds and smells fill me. The heat overwhelming at first as it is almost hard to breath in…..and it is cool here, monsoon season!
I stop for a welcomed banana pancake, finding myself smiling as I walk around this bustling city. I only have ‘hello’ and ‘thank you’ in Thai at present, but a simple smile and nod of the head brings back warmth and response. It is already a very real reality that these tempting colors, fabrics and gifts come alongside a desperate need of there owner’s to sell. I have however yet declined the many elephant patterned trouser’s!!
Within 2 hours, you would expect nothing less, I have followed my ear’s to the live music. ‘If you got the blue’s, you gotta do somethin’ about it’ sings the happiest looking blue’s band I have ever seen……I think I just did, is my reply 🙂
‘What a difference a day make’s.’ A bar at the back of the market give’s me time to stop with a Singha Beer. I feel like I am sitting on pause, in the middle of a movie going on fast forward in front of me……….xx
I knew this would be the beginning of something you’ll always remember as a turning point. Let your senses lead you…
Enjoy, my dear forever friend, Liberty and I will be here to listen to the stories when you get back.
Much Love xxx
